At the request of my wife, I started searching for a music system for the baby's room.

My wife suggested it would be nice if it fit in the bookcase in that room.

 

I inititially had in mind to get one of the Denon microsystems as they are well regarded to have excellent sound.  However, the speakers would need upgraded because my wife didn't like the look of them, and I know from friends that have these that the speakers are easily improved on.  The other problem was the depth of the unit, too long to fit on the shelf.
